Why hire a Social Accompanist?
In general, many clients request a Social Accompanist for situations in which they don’t feel comfortable inviting their own friends for some reason, or situations in which they don’t have anyone that wants to go to the place/event you want to go to. And many other clients just need someone to talk to.
Real life examples:
You want someone to accompany you…
to a restaurant, but you feel uncomfortable asking a friend, or
to a concert, but none of your friends are able to make it, or
as you sit on a train taking in the sights of the city, or
as you go somewhere or do something that your friends or family might discourage you from doing.
You have something difficult to share with your loved one(s) and you want to rehearse saying it.
You want someone to wait for you at the finish line of a race and cheer for you.
You want to get a secret off your chest but you can’t tell anyone you know.
You want someone to sit nearby in your line of sight at a cafe while you serve divorce papers.
You want someone to be on a video call while you do something that’s boring to you, like clean your room.
Benefits of hiring a Social Accompanist
You get to have that experience you wouldn’t dare to do alone.
You get the relief and clarity that comes with being heard by a non-judging listener who is not personally invested in you or your choices.
You get to practice being social or saying something difficult in a low-stakes environment.
You have someone to casually take photos of you while you do something fun (e.g., visit the zoo)(note: this is not a professional photography service).
You have the benefit of not being alone, without the obligation to maintain conversation.
If you feel socially awkward, you get socialization without the social pressure.
Get an extra dose of courage for a difficult or uncomfortable task you face.
